Message from Camp

Summer 2004

Ninety-one years old and we have never felt better! Camp Chingachgook, like never before, is serving more kids, providing more scholarships, and changing more lives in positive ways. Our year-round programs are full and thriving, and we want you to stay in touch and join some of the action. 15,000 people participate in Chingachgook programs each year and we have some great alumni events.

This year we are working on a new Waterfront Program and Facility Design. Our waterfront programs have always made the Chingachgook experience, and certainly there is no more beautiful waterfront in the world. We need to bring our facilities up to standards to allow us to serve the next generations at Chingachgook. Stay tuned as we unveil our new plans that will include new handicap accessible docks, a new kayak program, an observation tower, a shoreline erosion control project, and much more. We will use your annual membership dues to help with achieving this plan. Please visit your old Camp this year to see our new improvements! Return to Chingachgook and join us on:

Saturday, July 24 for our Summer Alumni Reunion Saturday, October 9 for our Alumni Fall Foliage Cruise on Lake George March 18-20, 2005 for our Alumni Family Winter Weekend

Thank you again for your involvement and support. It is vital to continuing the mission at YMCA Camp Chingachgook. We look forward to your return to Chingachgook. Best wishes to you from the shores of Lake George.
