HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMP CHINGACHGOOK!!!

We are celebrating our 90th anniversary this year and hope you can join our exciting special events we have planned. In the last 90 years, Chingachgook has been the home to over 250,000 children and young adults. Our programs have changed lives in positive ways with character building experiences and fun outdoor recreation in the Adirondack Mountains. For 90 years, we have taught leadership skills, responsibility, environmental appreciation, and teamwork. A Chingachgook experience lasts a lifetime, and now is the time to celebrate our success and grand memories!

Sailabration - Friday, June 27, 6:30 - 11:00 pm Departing Lake George Village on the Lac du Saint Sacrement, join the fundraising extravaganza of the century honoring the Dake Family of Saratoga Springs and their legacy of building community support for YMCA Camp Chingachgook

Chingachgook Alumni Reunion - Saturday, July 19, 1:00 - 9:00 pm At Camp Chingachgook, see the summer camp in action, enjoy tours, canoe races, swimming, a lakeside barbeque, and a free T-shirt

Fall Foliage Cruise and Dinner - Saturday, October 11, 3:00 - 7:00 pm Leaves from the Chingachgook dock for a breath-taking cruise on Lake George in the peak of fall foliage, ending with a lakeside barbecue on the Chingachgook waterfront. (This is Family Camp weekend, come for the entire weekend if you can!)

We are giving Chingachgook the biggest Birthday present it has ever seen! This year's major project and program enrichment will be a 52-foot high climbing wall. The wall will be constructed in May 2003 and will feature six challenging climbing routes with overhangs. The unique design will accommodate six climbers at a time and will engage all of our 13,000 guest each year as observers and participants. Come to the Alumni Reunion to give it a try!

The Alumni Association is vital to the continued growth and success of Camp Chingachgook. We need your support and involvement. Bring your family back to YMCA Camp Chingachgook on Lake George. We are waiting to give you a warm welcome!
